Does LRD have a size chart?

No.

At LRD, we source and launder thrifted, used denim clothes to create our one-of-a-kind garments. While we prioritize finding plus-size men's and women's denim clothes, the sizes we come across are random. As a result, creating a uniform size chart for our products is not practical.

Moreover, the process of upcycling used clothes is not a standardized one. It involves a high level of craftsmanship, and there is no standard for how brands and denim designers combine measurements to create different fits.

To help you choose the right size, we provide detailed garment measurements in the photos accompanying each listing. We recommend comparing these measurements to those of an item in your wardrobe that fits you correctly and is measured flat. If you have any questions about sizing or fit, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Are all LRD garments Unisex?

No.

The item title will contain the word Unisex and the description will give the Original manufacture size as ‘men’. 

My intent is to distinguish those pieces whose FIT is  suitable for female or male body frame.

In my thrifting experience I have not yet found manufactured denim brands labeled as Unisex sizes.  I have only found Men or Women. The best way to determine if a LRD garment is a fit for you is to compare the LRD garment’s measurements provided in PHOTOS.

Can I custom order a piece I like in my size or color of choice?

Each LRD garment is handcrafted one at a time, one-of-a-kind and is only available in the size and colors posted in the listing. I currently do not offer custom service.

Does LRD alter garments?

I do not offer the service of after purchase alterations.

What should I keep in mind about garments made from thrifted denim?

Due to the handcrafted process in which LRD garments are created, pieces may contain variations in color, pattern, texture or have natural hide marks in the leather.

Thrifted, used, laundered denim clothes may have discolorations, distressing or other irregularities. These fabric ‘flaws’ add to the character of the piece and are an artistic design choice that speaks to the authenticity of LRD garments and my commitment to honoring the Earth’s resources used to make those thrifted clothes.

How long until my order is shipped?

Orders are shipped Monday – Friday during U.S. EST standard business hours. You will be sent an email when your order is shipped. Order processing takes 1 – 7 days depending on order volume. Holiday (November – December) order processing typically has a longer processing time.

Can I cancel my order?

Once an order is placed, LRD is unable to honor cancellations. Please contact me should an issue arise cynthia@lucyrootsdenim.com

Does LRD ship internationally?

Currently LRD does not ship internationally.

We offer only online shopping. The future vision for LRD will include pop-ups.

How do I contact LRD?

Being responsive to customer concerns is important to me. However, please keep in mind that I am a one-person, home-based business. It may take up to 72 hours for a response. 

How do I launder my LRD garment?

Lucy Roots Denim upcycled garments incorporate mixed-media materials. Washing different fabrics together requires gentle care.

 Machine wash inside-out or inside a lingerie bag

Gentle cycle, cold water only

Use regular detergent.

No bleach, No fabric softener

Do not place in clothes dryer

Hang to Dry away from heat, Do Not Wring

Iron wrong side, use press cloth, medium heat, NO STEAM
