Thrifted jeans upcycled into an A-line jean skirt featuring a vinyl heat pressed applique of the Adinkra symbol Fawohodie. Colorful flowing Ankara fabric panels with a geometric print with pops of purple and two fully functioning metal zippers in the front, this midi length skirt lets you be free and funky, or modest.
The Fawohodie is an Adinkra symbol of independence, freedom, emancipation. It is derived from the Akan expression: "Fawodhodie ene obre na enam,” which iterally means “Independence comes with its responsibilities.”.
